Scar Care After Surgery

First Week

After 4-6 weeks

  • Silicone sheets/gels should be used on the scar as directed by the doctor for 8-16 hours per day (preferably continue this for 6 months).
  • Apply vitamin E oil to the scar and massage it according to the doctor's instructions (preferably continue this for 6 months).
  • Laser fractional surgery is recommended, followed by consultation with a dermatologist.

How to manage pain after surgery?

  • The doctor may provide localized pain blockade, if necessary, to relieve pain within the first 24 hours.
  • Pain medications will be prescribed, usually 2-3 medications based on the condition. Their effects are often effective and sufficient to alleviate pain in the first and second weeks after surgery.
  • Most surgical procedures are outpatient (day surgery), and patients can leave on the same day or the next day.
